At the end of last term, year 3 had a brilliant morning making bread. To make the bread, we had to combine flour, yeast and water. When we had combined these, we had to knead the dough to give the bread more structure. It was very messy!
We then let the dough prove. After letting the dough prove, we had to knead the bread again briefly and shape it. This is when we added our other ingredients. We could include any ingredients out of cheese, rosemary, cinnamon and poppy seeds. After waiting patiently for the bread to bake in the school ovens, we got to eat the bread!
