A few weeks ago, we planted a sunflower seed and over the last few science lessons we have used our observation skills to see how the seeds have changed.

Most of our sunflowers have now grown strong roots and a long stem and some of them have started to grow leaves. We have discussed what a plant needs to grow healthily, and we have made sure our sunflowers have been watered regularly to help them.

In 2D's outdoor morning we made clay models of sunflowers and painted them carefully.

We are very excited to see how much more our sunflowers grow.
