This term in PE with have been learning about controlling our bodies and space when running and jogging.

We have practised walking, jogging and sprinting and listening to a whistle to signify we need to change directions. This has meant we have had to be looking, listening and keeping control of our bodies to ensure we do not fall over. We have practised jumping on one and two feet, landing safely and controlled.

Then we moved on to running and jumping. When learning about running, we also learnt side stepping and controlled our bodies by rocking on our feet. Before each lesson we have discussed the importance of warming up and linked this to our learning last term in science about healthy bodies. We have also discussed how important exercise is for our mental well-being.
