Yesterday we had our school trip to Woburn Safari Park. It was a fantastic experience as we got to see lots of different animals, some we had never seen before!

Welcome back to the start of a new term! We have lots of exciting things planned for this term! For example, in science we will be learning about different materials and conducting a few investigations to determine what can be altered! How exciting!

Last week we had our specialised teaching week of music with Mrs Frost! We learnt about beat and rhythm and how they go together.

It is so lovely to be back in Year 2.  We have had lots of time to share news with our friends and have already done so much learning.

In English we have been learning about Captain Sir Tom Moore’s life and what led to him helping the NHS during the pandemic.

On Monday we had the opportunity to do our learning outdoors. We were very lucky to be outside on such a glorious sunny day.

This term in Year 2, we have been learning all about food in our DT lessons. We have learnt about different food groups and what we should be putting into our bodies.

To continue with the children's online safety learning they started in Year 1, the children this week will be meeting up again with Jessie and her friends Mo and Tia.

We are currently learning about adding and subtracting in maths.  Parent/carers it would be wonderful if you could practice counting, adding ten and ones and subtracting tens and ones from any number under 100 with your child at home.

This week we made kites and then took them onto the field to see if they would fly.
