DT!

This term in DT we are going to be making our very own light lamps. We have been investigating electrical circuits as we will be using circuits to light up our lamps.

We have also been evaluating existing lamp designs to inspire us for our own.

In groups we have worked together to construct electrical circuits to investigate how a switch works. We did this by exploring electrical conductors and insulators. The first experiment we used a paper clip and then we used foil to investigate turning a switch on and off. We attached the positive/negative wire to switch the bulb on and make the circuit complete. We then had to remove the paperclip/wire to switch the bulb off.

We will then use one these electrical conductors for our own lamps. It was a very cool experiment and we all enjoyed it very much!
