VE DAY CELEBRATIONS!

On the 8th May 1945, VE day took place in Britain. People of Britain celebrated by dancing, having street parties and wearing blue, red and white.  They were celebrating the end of World War II.

This year, it is 75 years since the end of the way. To celebrate this at our school, we had a social distanced party! During the week, we made bunting, learnt about VE day, wrote about it in English and we each made our own flags.
On Thursday afternoon, we went outside to the playground and had a dance to some music! We all danced in our own spaces and waved our flags to celebrate! We played musical statues and guess what – the teachers just couldn’t get some of us out... We were too good!
