INTO THE WOODS!

Welcome to the Spring Term our topic is ‘Into the Woods.’

We have had a fabulous introduction to the topic with a visit from the Birds of Prey centre.  The children had the opportunity to see some birds of Prey up close and the teachers had the opportunity to hold the owl!

We watched in awe as an Eagle Owl, a British Kestrel, an American Kestrel and a Harris’s Hawk flew over our heads in the school hall. All of the children sat and listened sensibly and enjoyed the experience very much.

We have also been busy in our classrooms learning owl facts, making owl inspired art based on the story “Owl Babies” by Martin Waddell and lots more!

We are looking forward to learning more about the woods and all the different animals that live there.
