Year 3 – All settled in. 

Year 3 have had a fantastic start to the new academic year. The children enjoyed our ‘Ready to Learn’ week. Highlights included building a tower from paper that could hold a rubber and learning about the children’s heritage and making a personal coat of arms.  

The children have enjoyed learning about climate activist Greta Thunberg and understanding how our novel – Great and the Giants has linked to her. They have impressed us with their letters of complaint and have all included some lovely vocabulary. 

Maths has included adding and subtracting 10 and 100 whilst securing the children’s place value knowledge. We are looking forward in starting our addition unit and for the children to learn a new method.  

Mrs Hubbard and Miss Stewart are excited for the year ahead!
