TRIPS AND MARBLES IN YEAR 5

So much has happened since the last blog that we could fill pages with the details of trips and activities.

Children visited the French capital city for a week and those remaining in school enjoyed an assortment of creative activities.  The year group, in the last week before Easter, created some amazing marble run contraptions out of kitchen / toilet rolls and cardboard.  The EYFS children were impressed when they visited the year group to test them out.

In year 5/6 you get to go to Paris in France. We saw; The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Tower Montparnasse and the best hotel in France [in my opinion]. In the morning, we had a breakfast buffet. You will one hundred percent go on the metro and a boat that goes all around Paris. You get to see the louvre on the boat and a fake Mona Lisa in the window.

On the way there, we had to wake up at 4’o’clock in the morning and go to the train station to meet everyone else and the teachers. We said goodbye to our parents [for 5 days] got on ourtrain and was sorted into 4 groups; orange, green, yellow and blue.  When I went, I was absolutely buzzing with energy, and I was super-duper excited. Me and all my friends sat together on the train so we could talk about stuff and play games like Uno, gin rummy and dobble.

In the morning, we went downstairs for breakfast, and you will love it because there is bread, butter, apple, pear, bananas, baguette, cheese and ham. We got our food and then grabbed a seat with our friends. After we ate, we went back to our room, brushed our teeth and packed our bags for THE HUGE PARIS ADVENTURES awaiting us!

We went on the metro every day, but needed to be careful in rush hour. In the Easter holidays, you get to have fun and tell your family all about your trip in Paris.

That is why, I think, when you are in year 5 or 6 you should go to Paris.
