WE'RE BACK AND SO, SO BUSY :)

Our first week and a half in Year 6 has been brilliant!

Within our new classes, El Capitan and Kilimanjaro, we have participated in a range of activities, such as: team building, creating our own Mr Men characters and books, neurographic art, making dragon eyes from clay, philosophy for children, PSHE and so much more! We have done these fun activities alongside our maths and English lessons. We’ve also been luckily enough to have had our specialist-taught sessions of computing already for this half term!

In English, we have started our class novel, which is called ‘Alex Rider — Stormbreaker’ by Anthony Horowitz. We have just finished chapter two, but we are already hooked!

We have also been reminding ourselves about what an effective learner looks like, what good behaviour for learning is and have discussed how to get out of, should we ever find ourselves in it, the learning pit – which we probably will all be in at some point (even the teachers!)

We enjoyed our last few playtimes on the field in the glorious sunshine last week, and although the rain is now here, it can’t dampen our spirits as we embark on this new adventure in Year 6!

We look forward to keeping you all up to date with what we are learning about in Year 6, throughout the year.

Have a look HERE at some photos of a few of the things we have already been up to!
