BIRDFEEDERS, CRESS AND LOTS OF MUD!

On Monday we had the opportunity to do our learning outdoors. We were very lucky to be outside on such a glorious sunny day.

We spent the morning doing three different activities. The first activity was learning about planting seeds, we planted our own cress seeds which we have taken home to grow. We enjoyed learning all about how to grow plants and are so excited to observe our own cress grow!

The next activity was learning about why it is important to feed our birds. Did you know birds can help with flower pollination? We had a great time making bird feeders out of cheerios and apples that we hung around our garden for the birds (and other animals) to enjoy. If you watch closely, you might see birds come to our garden to feed. Last but not least, we had time to play in the mud kitchen and on the tyre swing. We really enjoyed making lots of different food in the kitchen including cupcakes and biscuits! Yum!

Have a look in the GALLERY at some photo's from our morning.
