SARCOPHAGUS' AND ROAST DINNERS!

Year 5 have had a busy couple of weeks with a clay workshop and a lunch out.  Sophia and Kayleigh have written a blog about the experiences.

As we walked in The Tavistock Carvery we saw the tables set out very luxuriously, complete with a glass and a folded napkin. We got to sit with whoever we liked and chat about anything!  Then we got called up table by table to choose our meat (Pork, Turkey or Lamb) and trimmings-it was scrumdidelyumptious.

After we had had our meal, we got to have a scoop of melt-in-your-mouth vanilla ice cream. Over all it was a great experience for the whole of year 5 and we wish we could go back and do it all over again!!! Have a look HERE for some photos of our lunch.

On Thursday 27th of June, Year 5 embarked on an Egyptian adventure. A lady called Mrs Houghton came in and showed us how to make a clay sarcophaguses! A sarcophagus is a coffin for a dead Egyptian person (mainly for royalty) ours was inspired by the pharaoh Tutankhamun, we even got to put a mummy inside it. The experience was amazing!
