OVER AND OUT

It’s the end of our journey at The Hills and we have been thinking about all of the wonderful memories that we have made at school.

Some of us have been here since Nursery! It will be strange to leave but we are all excited and ready to go to secondary school. We had an amazing trip to Box End, where we did a cold-water swim and then played on the inflatables, to finish off our time in primary school.

Last week, at the school’s first Year 6 graduation ceremony, we were able to tell our parents about our favourite moments and memories and say thank you to those who have helped us along the way. It was a beautiful sunny day and we welcomed our families to the school field. We spoke about the friendships that we had formed in Nursery and new friends made along the way. We thanked some staff who had helped us through our time at the school: teachers, teaching assistants, lunchtime supervisors, Mrs Whitehead, Miss Starr and Mrs Miholjac. They have all helped us in different ways throughout our time at the school.

This week, we have been enjoying our last events at school. On Monday, we performed our production to the school and we will perform it again to our families on Thursday. On Tuesday, we had pizza and games after school. On Wednesday, we have our final disco at school, which the PTA organise for us. Then, it will be our last ever day at The Hills on Friday.

A thank you needs to be said to Mrs Bourne, who has organised our leavers’ autograph books, which we are still filling in! We would like to say a very special thank you to Mrs Jobity and Mrs D’Amelio for organising our graduation and production – we have absolutely loved doing both!

We hope everyone has a great summer and just want to say thanks for all the memories!
