We started by revisiting our previous learning from Year 1 and recalled what a plant needs to help it grow. A couple of weeks ago, we planted our own sunflower seeds and we have been observing the changes that have happened each week.

Some of our sunflowers have started to grow a long stem and some leaves. We have also begun an investigation looking at how different conditions impact the growth of a plant by placing plants in different areas of the classroom.

We predict that the plant hiding in the cupboard with no water will not grow but the plant in the sunshine with water will grow. We are excited to see which sunflower grows the tallest.
