Week commencing monday 27th june 2016

Welcome back to the Reception weekly blog.

What a busy week we have had!  We have practised descriptive writing and described our own dinosaurs, we have continued to practise our addition calculations and have also worked hard to improve our number recording.  We hope that the grandparents enjoyed our assembly as we had a lot of fun practising our pirate dance!

We will be continuing our dinosaur theme next week but will focus on non-fiction texts.  Over the weekend it would be brilliant if your children could use their home books or the internet (with your support) to find a dinosaur fact that they could bring to school to share with their friends.

Weather permitting, our re-scheduled Sports Day will be held on Thursday 7th July at 9.15 a.m.

In our mathematics next week, we will be practising subtraction calculations and we will continue to practise recording numbers accurately.
